Fujitsu to cut up to 1,800 UK jobs

Fujitsu has announced plans to cut up to 1,800 jobs in the UK starting from 2017, reports the Guardian. The workforce reduction was described by the company as a "transformation programme" to remain competitive in the market. Fujitsu has also given notice to terminate its UK works council, Fujitsu Voice, from January 2017 – a move which has been opposed by trade unions.
