Fujitsu to eliminate sales teams in 19 countries in bid to cut costs

Fujitsu said it has conducted a comprehensive review of its EMEA business and that decided to eliminate its sales team in 169 countries, in order to cut costs, The Register reported. The move will affect 1.100 local management jobs in most of Eastern Europe and certain countries in the Middle East, Africa and Western Europe. In those areas, Fujitsu mainly sold low margin hardware. It will now work through resellers. Specifically, the jobs will go in Algeria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia,
