Gabon launches 3G licence tender

Gabon's telecommunications regulator, Artel, has launched a tender for proposals to build and operate 3G networks using the IMT 2000 standard to deliver advanced mobile services in the country. The tender document was released on 23 July and can be obtained for XOF 500,000 (EUR 762) from the regulator. The submission deadline is 30 September. Gabonews writes that the process is open to national and international operators.
