Gabon Telecom H1 revenue up 35%

Tuesday 24 July 2012 | 14:26 CET | News
Gabon Telecom posted a 35 percent increase in revenue for the first half to MAD 635 million, helped by increased market share in a more stable competitive environment. As a result of sustained marketing actions and network expansion, the mobile customer base grew by 59 percent to 714,000, from 448,000 in the same period in 2011. The fixed-line base declined by 27 percent to 18,000, and internet customers fell by 69 percent to 7,000, after a clean-up of the CDMA prepaid customer bases.
