Gabon Telecom strike action suspends internet in Libreville

Gabon Telecom subscribers in Libreville were left without phone and internet service on the afternoon of 24 February after the operator's employees went on another strike, reports Agence Ecofin. The information was confirmed on 25 February by a president spokesman. Phone service resumed on 25 February, but the internet was still inaccessible the following day. Gabon Telecom employees had threatened to suspend service during strike action on 13 November 2014. They are continuing to make the same demands, seeking compensation bonuses for the increase in their workloads after the operator was
