Gabon Telecom workers threaten strike over pay adjustment

Monday 7 September 2015 | 14:08 CET | News
Gabon Telecom employees were threatening further strike action, reports Gabon Eco. The Synatel union gave notice of industrial action on 7 September. As in the past, they are demanding that their contracts be harmonised with those of transferred former employees of mobile subsidiary Libertis. Gabon Telecom said it aims to do so by 20 September. A strike in February left a large part of the population without internet services. The union has been calling for the measure to be put in place since November last year.
