GainSpan brings Wi-Fi to Ring Video Doorbell

Wireless connectivity provider GainSpan said it will equip the Ring Video Doorbell with its GS2011MIE module, making it the world's first Wi-Fi-enabled, battery-operated, HD video doorbell. The announcement was made at CES in Las Vegas. GainSpan will also enables the Ring Video Doorbell to maintain its battery life of up to 14 months thanks to the module's low power consumption and fast wake-up performance from idle state. The Ring Video Doorbell application code can run on the GS2000 due to its highly integrated, extensive networking stack and the large memory. The system can stream live HD
