Galaxy Backbone expresses commitment to national broadband infrastructure project

Nigerian state-owned company Galaxy Backbone (GBB) has given an assurance that it will implement the USD 400 million National Information and Communications Technology Infrastructure Backbone (NICTIB) Phase II project, ThisDay reported. Director-general Muhammad Abubakar said that GBB, the technology deployment agency of the NICTIB Phase II project and facilitator for national broadband development, is committed to full implementation. NICTIB Phase II comes under the National Borrowing Plan recently approved by the National Assembly and is yet to commence.
