GCC 5G connections to reach 16% of mobile base by 2025

The six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) of Arab States will all launch 5G mobile services over the next two years, according to new reports from GSMA. By 2025, 5G will account for 16 percent of total connections in these markets. The number of smartphone connections across MENA was at 332 million in the second quarter, accounting for just over 50 percent of total connections in the region.
