GCC Q4 feature phone shipments up 10.6% from Q3, smartphones down 2.0%

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) mobile phone market had mild seasonal growth in Q4 2017, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). Its Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker shows overall shipments for the quarter totaled 6.6 million units, up by 2.1 percent quarter on quarter (QoQ). Feature phones shipments increased 10.6 percent QoQ and helped to offset a 2.0 percent decline in smartphones shipments.
