GCC smartphone shipments rise 6.3% to 5.15 mln units in Q4

Wednesday 4 March 2020 | 08:42 CET | News
Smartphone shipments to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) increased 6.3 percent quarter-on-quarter in the fourth quarter to total 5.15 million units, according to the latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC). However, this was not enough to prevent a small 0.2 percent sequential decline in the region's overall mobile phone market, with feature phone shipments suffering a fall of 18.1 percent to 1.45 million units.
