GCI rolls out Pace's video gateway on Tivo platform

US cable operator General Communication (GCI) is rolling out the Pace XG1 Multi-tuner Video Gateway with Tivo Advanced User Interface platform, offering its customers linear TV, VoD and interactive content across multiple screens and devices. A key part of GCI's plan was to offer subscribers a fully integrated, Docsis compliant hardware system with video streaming to multiple connected devices in the home. The advanced feature set of Pace's XG1 incorporates a Docsis 3.0 cable modem supporting IP connectivity.
