Geant backs research, education network for Africa

European research and education consortium Geant has signed a partnership agreement with the UbuntuNet Alliance, the regional research and education network for East and Southern Africa. The partnership includes Wacren, a similar body for Central and West Africa, and Arab states network Asren. The collaboration will invest EUR 26.6 million in the Africa Connect2 pan-African education and research network.
