Geman regulator issues ban on directory enquiries service number 11830

Tuesday 11 February 2020 | 09:55 CET | News
The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has ordered the provider First Telecom to stop using the telephone number 11830 for directory enquiry services. At the same time, the regulator has prohibited the collection of fees from consumers using the number. This means that customers will not be charged the costs incurred for connecting their calls through the service number. The ban applies retroactively to costs already included in previous invoices.
