Geocell adds 52,000 subscribers in Q2

Monday 20 July 2015 | 11:58 CET | News
Georgian mobile operator Geocell recorded a 1.9 percent fall in second-quarter service revenues in local currency, as lower voice revenue was only partially compensated by higher data revenues and increased revenues from incoming international traffic. The operator's adjusted EBITDA margin decreased slightly to 38.5 percent from 39.5 percent in the year-earlier period, mainly due to to lower service revenues, according to parent company TeliaSonera. Geocell ended the quarter with a total 1.965 million subscribers, up by 52,000 from the end of March.
