German audiovisual advertising revenue rises 1% to EUR 6 bln in 2019 - Vaunet

German audiovisual media generated EUR 6 billion in net advertising revenues in 2019, according to a report by the Advertising Federation (ZAW) and the commercial broadcasters' association, Vaunet. The associations refrained from making a forecast for 2020 due to uncertainties caused by the coronavirus crisis. Companies invested a total of EUR 6.02 billion in audio and audio-visual advertising last year, up 0.9 percent compared with the prior year. Audio and audio-visual media accounted for 24.1 percent of advertising market revenue in 2019 compared with 23.9 percent in 2018.
