German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF have released their schedule for the conversion to the DVB-T2 transmission standard for numerous states across Germany throughout the end of 2018. The broadcasters said they will begin carrying the new DVB-T2 standard beginning 26 September at transmitter sites in Amberg, Bamberg and Ochsenkopf in Bavaria, Chemnitz-Geyer and Chemnitz-Reichenhain in Saxony and Gera in Thuringia. The broadcasters said they will simultaneously phase out the DVB-T transmission standard with the activation of DVB-T2 broadcasts.
