German Chancellor says 5G roll-out must be realistic

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the roll-out of 5G has to be "physically feasible". In telecommunications, one has to "balance private investment power with state support", she added, speaking at the Digitising Europe Summit. The German government has allocated EUR 12 billion up to 2025 to support the Gigabit network expansion nationwide.
