German Christmas sales continue to improve - Bitkom survey

German IT association Bitkom predicts strong year-end business based on a recent 'Blitz survey'. Two thirds of suppliers of high-tech products (65%) report an improvement in sales compared to the previous year. About 31 percent expect revenues to attain the previous year's level, and only 4 percent mention declining business. In the same period of last year, only 61 percent expected an improvement, 29 percent expected the same level results and 10 percent declining revenues. According to another recent Bitkom consumer survey, 72 percent of Germans plan to buy products from the segments
