German companies to set new record for spending in IT security this year, at EUR 4.6 bln - Bitkom

German companies will spend an estimated EUR 4.6 billion on IT security hardware, software and services this year, a 10 percent increase from last year's record amount. For 2020, companies are expected to increase spending by around 7.5 percent to EUR 4.9 billion, according to research conducted by IDC on behalf of digital association Bitkom.
