German Constitutional Court approves hike in public broadcast fee

Friday 6 August 2021 | 10:27 CET | News

Under the treaty, the states want to increase the public broadcasting fee by EUR 0.86 to EUR 18.36 per month. The fee is used to fund Germany's public broadcasters ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio and associated local/regional broadcasters.
