German constitutional court rejects broadcasters' request for injunction against fee hike

The German Federal Constitutional Court has rejected a request for an injunction from broadcasters ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio against the decision by the state of Saxony-Anhalt to block the increase in the broadcasting fee to EUR 18.36. The fee remains at EUR 17.50 for now. The plaintiffs referred to a violation of their broadcasting freedom.
