German consumer organisation sues Facebook

German consumer protection association Vzbv has filed a lawsuit against Facebook for the third time. This time the suit concerns Facebook's ad that claims Facebook can be used for free (without any costs) and will stay free as well as 19 clauses in its end user agreement as well as data directive. Vzbv finds that claim that Facebook is free to be false as users pay not in euros but in MBs and that Facebook does not offer the conscious choice to its users how to set their privacy preferences. The 19 clauses that are illegal according to Vzbv include the clause that enables Facebook to transfer
