German data, privacy breach complaints reach 11,000 since GDPR - BfDi

The number of notifications and complaints of data and privacy breaches reached 3,700 and 4,667 respectively in Germany in the first six months of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May, according to a report presented by the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDi) Andrea Vosshoff. In total, 11,000 complaints were received by the German authority as of the beginning of September, including 6,100 for data breaches. Vosshoff presented the report to the digital agenda committee of the German Parliament.
