German DVB-T2 set-top box sales double in January

As the 29 March start day for the DVB-T2 HD TV standard moves closer, the number of set-top boxes sold in Germany has rapidly increased, according to figures from GfK Retail and Technology. In January, around 165,000 set-top boxes compatible with the new standard were sold in Germany. This represent a rise of 109 percent compared to December 2016, when just 79,000 were sold.
