German firms expect sales boost from Industry 4.0 - Bitkom

Many German companies expect to see increased sales as a result of Industry 4.0, according to a survey by ICT industry group Bitkom. Around half (51%) of those already using or planning to use Industry 4.0 applications expect a turnover boost, with the rest expecting sales to remain stable. The survey questioned 400 companies of over 100 employees from the automotive, machine construction, chemical and electronic industries. One in eleven (9%) of companies expect Industry 4.0 to boost their sales by more than 10 percent.
