German firms find using AI boosts return on sale - study

The use of Artificial intelligence increases the return on sale for German companies, according to a study conducted by the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The return on sales stands at 6.4 percent when using AI, according to the study, which is 1.3 percentage points higher than otherwise. This means that companies using AI are yielding around 25 percent more profit.
