German government approves another 93 broadband grants

Germany's Digital Infrastructure Minister Alexander Dobrindt has approved a further 93 broadband grants from the multi-billion Euro federal high-speed broadband programme. This enables communities and regional authorities to subsidies between 50% and 70% of their broadband role out plans to underserved areas. Since the start of the federal programme on 18 November 2015, 836 grants have been approved. In total the program has funds up to EUR 4 billion.
