German govt considers Deutsche Telekom stake strategic, to maintain blocking minority - report

The German government considers its stake in Deutsche Telekom strategic and will continue to hold a blocking minority in the telecom operator, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung writes citing a government report on state holdings. The government is committed to maintain its stake in the telecom operator based on "security interest", according to the report that the cabinet is expected to approve on 19 February.
