German govt prepares plan to expand gigabit coverage nationwide by 2025

German Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Andreas Scheuer has prepared a plan to expand gigabit broadband coverage nationwide by 2025, Handelsblatt reports. The plan aims to ask network operators to provide information on where they intend to build their gigabit network by 2023. The state will give financial aid to support the construction in areas that are not chosen by operators.
