German govt provides EUR 5 bln for 2021 school digitisation

Minister of Education Johanna Wanka is aiming to provide all 40,000 public schools in Germany with computers and Wi-Fi by 2021, according to Bild newspaper. It said on its website that the country is lagging behind others when it comes to school digitisation. It said Wanka will present the schools plan, called DigitalPaktD, on 12 October.
