German govt releases more funds for broadband roll-out

The German Government has now freed up an extra EUR 154 million to help the states roll-out superfast broadband services. This is the second tranche of funds to be released through the programme, after around EUR 318 million was released in 2015. A total of EUR 626 million is being made available between 2015 and 2017, financed from the sale of digital dividend frequencies. A further EUR 154 million will be released in 2017.
