German govt to tighten laws on data protection, IT security

Tuesday 19 August 2014 | 11:25 CET | News
German Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maiziere said in a contribution to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) that the government is preparing for major changes in IT security and data protection. He said the European Union data protection directive will completely replace the German law on this issue.
