German HD cable TV viewing reaches 24% in Q2

Some 24 percent of cable television viewers in Germany watch privately owned broadcasters in HD, Kabel Deutschland said, citing the TNS Convergence Monitor 2014. This is an increase from 18 percent a year ago, it added. It also found that 31 percent watch broadcasters' VoD content. Nearly half of respondents (44%) own more than four devices capable of receiving TV content, including smartphones and tablets. It said 18 percent of respondents use four or more VoD services, up from 11 percent last year. Time delay TV is becoming more popular, with more than 1 million Kabel Deutschland
