German internet users interested in regional TLDs - survey

German internet users want domain names ending .stadt or .region, making it easier to find the website of a city or region, reports the German federation for internet economy eco Verband citing a survey by eResults. The internet users were asked if they found internet addresses like www.amtsgericht.nuernberg or www.standesamt.nuernberg more transparent and helpful to find a state or city service, 63.8 percent said yes, 28.9 percent said possibly and only 7.3 percent said no.
