German IT security office focuses on election influencing

The German federal bureau for IT security BSI is keeping taps on possible election influences from hackers and or automatic news generation on social media platforms. The bureau's head Arne Schoenbohm said that the security of government networks against cyber-attacks is continuously updated and optimized to offer protection against new attacks while the office also cooperates with its counterparts throughout Europe in exchanging threat assessments and solutions. BSI also advises political parties on how to protect their systems as well and with regards to automatic news generation on social
