German mobile advertising market grows 58.6% in 2018 to EUR 1 billion

The German mobile advertising market grew by 58.6 percent in 2018 compared with the same period of the previous year, with gross advertising spending of EUR 1 billion, according to a report from Nielsen. Radio advertising recorded the second strongest growth with a 2 percent increase and total gross advertising spending of EUR 1.95 billion. Media such as newspapers show a positive development with a 0.5 percent uptick and gross advertising spending of EUR 4.3 billion in 2018. TV was the leading medium for German advertisers with EUR 15.3 billion spent, but growth was only 0.01 percent year on
