German online ad blocking increases in Q1 - study

Use of online ad-blockers is increasing in Germany. According to research by the marketing group OVK in the digital industry association BVDW, 19.92 percent of online display advertising was blocked on the desktop in Q1, up from 17.04 percent in the previous quarter. This is the first increase since 2015. Compared to Q1 2016, the rate fell from 20.09 percent.
