German online sales grow 10% to EUR 10.2 billion - study

German online and mail order market has grown by 8 percent year-on-year from EUR 11.1 billion in the first quarter of 2014 to EUR 12.1 billion in the first quarter of 2015, according to a consumer's study by market researcher GIM for German federal e-commerce/mail order association Bevh. Online trade grew by 10 percent year-on year to EUR 10.2 billion and consumers purchased digital service with a total value of EUR 3.2 billion in Q1 2015 compared with EUR 2.6 billion in Q1 2014. The largest segment continues to be clothing with EUR 2.7 billion in sales volume, despite a 3 percent decrease
