German online sales growth slows in Q1 amid Covid-19 outbreak - study

Online sales stagnated between January and March of this year, recording an increase of only 1.5 percent compared with the same period last year, according to a study by e-commerce association BEVH. In the first quarter last year, online sales grew by 11.2 percent compared with the same period in 2018. Customers spent EUR 16.48 million including VAT in Q1 this year to purchase items online, compared with EUR 16.24 million including VAT in the same period last year.
