German proposal to implement EU telecoms code draws early criticism

The proposal from the German government to reform the Telecommunication Act remains highly controversial. The government has not yet officially published the draft and has not been able to obtain comments from industry players, Heise Online reports. A hearing for federal states and associations on the 415-page draft was due on 07 August before its introduction by the federal government, but the paper has not been presented yet, the report added.
