German public lags behind businesses in tech take-up

The digitisation rate among the German population is 40 percent, but the corporate rate is 66 percent, according to the PriceWaterhouseCooper (PwC) Digitisation Barometer 2014. Half of companies (52 percent) have developed a strategy for integrating digital technology into their business model, said PwC. The consultancy took an online poll of 1,000 members of the public and 220 entrepreneurs.
