German regulator finds Deutsche Telekom abused dominance in wholesale SDH services

German industry group VATM said that the Federal Network Agency has determined that Deutsche Telekom is again abusing its dominant position in providing products for business customers. VATM cited file number BK2-20-024, which in turn refers to Deutsche Telekom's obligation to grant unconditional access to Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH)-based transmission channels. VATM specified that the access refers to SDH-based transmission paths for broadband connections between 2 Mbps and 155 Mbps, which have been used for many years to supply in particular demanding customers in industry and
