German telcos invested EUR 8.1 bn in 2015 - BNetzA

Investments on the German telecommunications market reached EUR 8.1 billion in 2015, up from EUR 7.4 billion the previous year, according to the annual report by the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). Companies mainly invested in fibre expansion, the switch to IP-based networks and the expansion of LTE networks. Investments in the cable TV infrastructure declined for the first time since 2010, at EUR 1.05 billion.
