German telecoms regulator helps negotiate extension for VHF transmissions

Germany's telecoms regulator the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), and the Federal Economics Ministry (BMWi), said they have helped negotiate a temporary, amicable settlement among representatives of the VHF broadcasting sector to the on-going dispute over the use of VHF antennas in Germany. The BNetzA said it has helped mediate an arrangement between new antenna owners and station network operators over the conditions of use of VHF antennae that extends the transitional agreement by another month to 31 July 2018, giving the parties more time to come to a long-term contractual arrangement, and
