German TV viewers on Christmas Eve increase to 10-year high

The increase in the number of viewers was driven by a larger participation of the older group of viewers, aged 50 and over. The Covid-19 restrictions have changed the traditional Christmas schedule, especially for older groups, Niederauer-Kopf noted. The TV has been used as an alternative to family get-togethers.
