German union Ver.di gives warning about job cuts in network division of Telefonica

German trade union Ver.di has sent a letter to representatives of Telefonica Germany and its supervisory board with a warning about the consequences of layoffs in the network division. Telefonica has already lost a great number of staff following the merger with E-Plus. It is becoming increasingly difficult for employees in different divisions to cope with the growing work pressure, the union said in a statement.
