Germans accept digital technology as part of life - survey

German IT association Bitkom said that digital technologies are considered part of life by Germans, with computers, smartphones and the internet indispensable to three quarters of respondents (74%).  It found 88 percent agreed that digital technology facilitates communication and 83 percent of those asked replied that they make their life more comfortable. Two thirds (66%) consider them detrimental neither to the environment nor one's health and 62 percent think that digital technologies extend possibilities for political participation. are not.
