Germans advocate licensing, registration of drones – Bitkom

The vast majority of Germans would support a system for registration of drones and licensing for drone users, a new survey by Bitkom has found. According to the survey results, 85 percent of Germans are in favour of a registration system for drones, similar to what is currently in place for cars. In addition, 84 percent would be in favour of some type of drone driving license and 77 percent would be in favour of insurance for drones. Currently, just 4 percent of Germans believe drones are sufficiently regulated.
