Germans feel little control over data protection online

Over three quarters (76%) of internet users in Germany use only or mostly free online services, according to a recent DIVSI study by market research institute dimap. Only one in five of the 1,002 respondents aged 14 or older use both free and paid services. Eighty percent assume that they have no influence over what happens with their data.
